Morroco Day 9… Cleaning out my camera…

Going through my Morocco pictures…

fI find it so interesting how a picture is worth a thousand words… A picture has the ability to capture a moment in time, it has the ability to capture a snapshot of a story, while telling a story…  This is different however with how the mind works…

While a picture simply captures a single moment in time, the mind combines all these moments into a rolling film…. Watching this film takes us away from all the single moments that put it all together….

… Life is about appreciating these moments in time

The mind is so fascinating; we never realize it but the mind can only exist in the past, and in the future.  The mind cannot exist in the present…

bFor the mind to exist in the present, the mind can be no more…. The mind cannot exist…  This is because the mind needs time… and in the present time cannot exist 🙂

For the mind to exist (which it does outside the present) it attaches itself to desires, emotions, expectations that are rooted outside the present… that are rooted outside reality….  This is done with time… the time outside the present moment…

A picture captures the same moment outside reality but without attachment…
It is our subjective interpretation of the picture (with our desires, emotions, expectations) that give it meaning….

cIf we think about it, the mind is essentially a multitude of pictures flashing before us in the form of a rolling movie…. the mind is a basically a movie.  It is always moving…

To understand the movement of the mind, is to understand life… Life cannot exist with mind…

Time is what makes the difference…. Time is simply an illusion… In the moment there is no time….

In the moment the only thing that exists is experience…
